Austria & Coffee

Hello, again! You can probably tell by the title - I'm using today's post to talk about Coffee. This deserves its very own post, as one of Austria's most popular drinks. Especially in Vienna. Traditional coffee houses are a favorite in Vienna. They're very pleasant places to go, in my opinion - after work, school, a long day - they're great places to relax. I go to many of them often, with both family and friends. There's one thing about coffee in Austria that I've noticed is different in some countries - in a restaurant in Vienna, you wouldn't order 'coffee.' Instead, you'd ask for Melange, Kleiner Brauner, Eiskaffee, ect., all different types. These are only some of the more common types. I, personally, enjoy Eiskaffee the most! It's a creamy sort of ice cream - coffee mix, especially good in the summer. Maybe you'll get to try Austrian coffee one day!
