The most famous German man in the world is by far Albert Einstein. He was born on March 14, 1879 in Ulm, Kingdom of Württemberg in the German Empire. He went to the Eidgenössische Polytechnische Schule in Zürich and later went taught at Polytechnic College of Zurich. Being jewish, he left the country to the USA when the Nazis took control of Germany, but not before he published his most famous work; E=mc2. He discovered this when he was with his friend while they were contemplating how long it takes for the light to reach them from the clock and the relative time of them to the clock itself.
