Tomorrow is Sunday here in beautiful Milan, Italy. I haven't found any churches that have caught my eye yet so im just tagging along with a couple of friends. Here are some statistics of different religions. Eighty-five percent of the native-born citizens are Catholic but, only twenty percent participate in regular services of worship. There is freedom of religion and the government tolerates this. The constitution prohibits state support for private schools but, the Catholic Church enjoys some privelages that are not available to other faiths. Even though most of the population is Roman Catholic, there are also other significant religions. Jehovah Witnesses is the second largest religion in Italy. Immigration has led to anti-immigrant sentiment. Well, that's about it in Italy with religion.
