Christmas is coming up faster than I thought, so I thought I would talk about it. An interesting fact is that the Christmas tree originated in Germany. One tradition is that the children are only allowed to see the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve. Christmas Eve is often called Dickbaugh or Fat Stomach. That is so because those who don't eat on that day will be haunted by demons. The day is self is a time to get together with friends and family. It is considered less consuption oriented that the American version of the holiday.
