Italian Holidays

Epiphany is my favorite Italian holiday. In Italy we believed Jesus was born on January 6th, so we used to celebrate christmas on the 6th. Over time they changed it to December 25th. So Epiphany is not celebrated as the birthday of christ, but the great events in his life. It is my favorite, in our family we like to celebrate our christmas on Epiphany, since my mother grew up celebrating it that way, because it was not yet changed until she was a 6 year old, and her family did not want to stop their culture. I love epiphany!
