I moved to Greece from Tennessee when I was 12 years old. My mom was offered a new, better-paying job, so we moved to Greece. I live with my mom, two sisters, and one brother. My brother moved back to the United States after he graduated lyceum (high school). So, now it's just the girls. I have an older sister, Abigail, who is 17, and I have a younger sister, Alisa, who is 13. When we first found out we were moving to Greece, we were all devastated. We knew we were going to have to leave all of our friends to go to a place we nothing about. We would have to make new friends, build a new house; basically start our lives all over again. Once we moved to Greece, we discovered that the people around us in Greece were caring and helpful during the transition. They helped us find our way around and made us feel welcome in our new home. Even though, the move was hard, I don't regret it at all. It helped me grow as a person, I discovered friends that I (now) could not live without, and it helped my family form closer bonds and relationships. Greece changed my life forever (in a good way)!
