Breakfast anyone?

Ciao again!

This is Annalisa coming right from my kitchen table. I thought it might be appropriate to let you know a little about my breakfast this morning. I know, some of you might think this will be a boring entry, but our breakfast is a little bit different here in Italia than it is in America.

My breakast this morning consisted of my favorite drink: milk. But some of you would call it a...cappucino? Is that it? Why do you call it that? After all, it looks like milk, I suppose....but no matter, we call it milk here in Italy. I like to make little designs with the froth on top of my milk. My favorite design to make is heart. My mother drank her succo d'arancia, or better know to Americans as orange juice. My father drank his caffe, or coffee. And my siblings drank their "milk" too. :-)

We all ate our Cornettos(Croissants) with honey or jam. I personally like my grape jam made from my father's vineyards, but Marco and Ermanno like their honey. I suppose it's a "boy thing" as they say in America. Because Marco and Ermanno are normally still hungry after their Cornettos, they have a piece or two of whole wheat bread.

But I stay with my fruit. We have all sorts of fruit mixed together in what we call un frutto insalata, or a fruit salad for you Americans. :-) Like I previously stated, my father owns a vineyard to make wine. Because of all the grapes, there are many of them in the frutto salda. Needless to say, I love grapes...I kind of have to. :-)

Anyway, off to school! I might be able to tell you about my school in another blog.( I have now gotten used to saying blog, to be honest, I think it is rather fun to say.)

Stay hungry,
~Annalisa~
