Education in Greece

YahSU! It's Melina.

In Greece, we have three different division of education before going to a university if that's what you want to do. Every child from ages six to fifteen, is required to attend school. From six to twelve you go to what we call a scholeion which I guess is akin to what is called elementary school in the United States. State schools are completely free, but private school have small tuition fees. About half of people after I guess what you would call high school, go on to attend a university. One of the biggest universities is the University of Athens.
