Food of Greece

Hey. It's Melina.

The Greeks enjoy fresh food for every meal. Often for breakfast, the we will only have a cup of coffee and maybe something light to eat. Lunch is the main meal of the day here. In many Greek recipes we use olive oil, lemons, tomatoes, and herbs. The main course is usually either meat or casserole. We Greeks really enjoy lamb meat. A traditional salad in Greece has tomatoes, cucumber, onions, green peppers, olives, and feta chesse. The dressing on top of a traditional Greek salad is ususally just oil and vinegar. Often with their meals, the Greeks will drink something alcoholic such as wine or beer.
