Broadband internet availability is widespread in Greece; there were a total of 2,105,076 broadband connections as of early 2010. This translates to 18,6% broadband penetration. Internet cafes that provide net access, office applications, and multiplayer gaming are also a common sight in the country, while mobile internet on 3G cellphone networks and public wi-fi hotspots are existent, but not as extensive. Because of its strategic location, qualified work force, and political and economic stability, many multinational companies such as Ericsson, Siemens, SAP, Motorola and Coca-Cola have their regional R&D Headquarters in Greece.
