Ana in Greece- FOOD

Hey! It's Ana again! Today I want to tell you a little bit about Greek food. One thing that is used in pretty much every Greek dish is olive oil. In most other places olive oil is frequently used. Fish dishes are common in Crete, but they aren't common on the main land. Fish dishes are usually only seen on the islands or coastal regions of main land Greece. Dining out is really common in Greece. I think it has been that way for a while. Fast food is also starting to become popular, but most people still rely on the rich Greek cuisine at local taverns. I'm a vegetarian, so I am kind of picky on most of the Greek dishes. My favorite dish is called " Haniotiko Mpoureki". It is made of oven baked slices of potatoes and zucchini, myzithra cheese and mint. There are plenty more dishes that I LOVE, I don't have time to list them all! Well, I just got home from school, and I have a lot of homework to do. I hope you are enjoying my blog!

More later!

Ana
