Olen takaisin Helsinkiin!

Hei! It' Fredrik again! For those of you who don't know what the title is, it's Finnish for "I'm back in Helsinki!" I have to go to school tomorrow but to day I am going to tell you of the architecture in Finland.

Many people in other countries have very different opinions on architecture, but in Finland, we love the modern look for many buildings but we like the old school formal architecture like the good people in the UK use for their parliament and the famous Buckingham palace. Some of the famous buildings here in Helsinki are the Presidential Palace, some of the orthodox cathedral, and even the railway station are in a stunning form of architecture.
As you can see, some of the architecture is very formal, but many more of the buildings in Helsinki are more of a modern style and are eye-catching. Some of the structures in Helsinki, the University of Technology, the center for preforming arts and even the rock church. The rock church is actually a church carved into a huge rock, and it has a stunning dome to cap it of. The center for the preforming arts look a lot like the Sidney Opera house, but is smaller and on a pier.
I hope you enjoyed seeing some of the fantastic buildings that I get to see daily here in Helsinki.

                                                                                      Näkemiin
Fredrik
P.S.Näkemiin means goodbye in Finnish.
