Employee Appreciation Week

So, hey guys!! This week is employee appreciation week here in Milan. Our coordinators set up an honorary lunch for us since breakfast isn't all that important to Italians. We were served lots of pasta and risotto. It had a mixture of tomato and basil sauce over it. I have even heard rumors that some Italians are addicted to red sauce!! After, we were served red meat, steak!!! Next, we were given chicken with an orange sauce that was very sweet! This type of meal is very typical in Italy. Sometimes, in other countries, you have more of a choice on the sides, but, we were not given many choices to choose from. Italians almost always have pasta with their meals. It isn't folklore, it's reality! Then, they usually have a red meat, after, they choos a lesser meat. After this meal, my belly was overfilled with the scrumptious appreciation food. I will never forget the tastes of Italian food wherever I go!!
