Ciao all!
So today I thought I would tell you more about my family. I know I have mentioned their names and ages, but I thought I would tell you more about what they were like. As you already know, most Italian families are rather large; and mine is no exception. With my father, mother, two brothers and one sister, I at least, would consider my family larger than most American families.
Let's start with my father. He is a very hardworker. Because he owns a large vineyard, he is constantly working to keep our family income decent. Even though he works daily, he never complains, and I think he doesn't because he loves working in the vineyards. In fact, he has even said that it is relaxing to work in the vineyards.
My mother works for the local newspaper. She absolutely loves it. When she is home, she loves to spend her free time cooking delicious meals for my siblings and I.
Which brings me to my siblings......
Marco is the sous chef at a restaraunt in town. He enjoys his job, but it does not take up his entire life. And that makes sense because he will be getting married in a few months! Yes, he is engaged to a wonderful girl whose name is Abrielle. I believe that they are perfect for each other! :-)
My older sister, Elizabetta is just finishing school this year. I have heard many people say that I am the beauty of my family, but I beg to differ! Elizabetta is one of the most beautiful young women I have ever seen! And I'm not just saying that because she is my sister. :-) Elizabetta has told me that when she finishes school, she wants to become a photographer who travels the world.
And last but not least, there's Ermanno. As you know, he is still in school (obviously). He loves calcio, which is Italian for soccer. He told me that he wants to grow up to become a famous calcio player. :-)
Anyway, I must go for now, my mother is calling me to help set the table for dinner. Do you all have chores like setting your table for dinner in America?
Addio!
