Yummy(: I'm Hungry!!

Hola! It's Carmen again(: this time we are going to talk about... FOOD!!!!!



One of the typical Spanish dishes that you will encounter during your visit is Paella, Paella is a rice dish with usually cooked with either seafood, pork, rabbit. or chicken. Seasoned with some saffron.

Some other dishes would be... Cocido Madrileno(cabbage, celery, carrots, turnips, potatos, and chickpeas), Callos(Tripe fish) Sopa de Ajo(garlic soup), Caracoles(Snails) Tortilla de Potatas(potato omelette) those are just a few other main dishes that would be seerved..

Some sweets that we like to have after lunch/dinner would include: Torrijas(a type of French toast) Barquillos(rolled wafers) Bartolillos Con Creme(a type of pipe with custard) and of course my favortite... Churros(:



We also have these things called Tapas... Tapa is a bunch of dishes, serverd as appetisers. It is an old gastronomic tradition. You can find numerous establishments specialized in serving tapas. "Ir de tapas"
