Oktoberfest (Bier Gartern)

I have learned that if the Germans can do one thing right it would be to brew beer! It's as sort of unknow tradition to spoon the froth off of a fresh beer and give it to a young child (mainly 8-12 year's old). Bier Garten's are like a little cafe'. Today my grandfather took us to his favorite Bier Garten to have a mock Oktoberfest. He ordered a watered down beer that is haf beer half lemonade. It was invented for bikers that wanted to go on long trecks without getting drunk. It is his favorite drink. My brothers and I orderd Sekt Apfelsaft (Sparkling Apple Juice). We sang songs and ate Vinerschnitzel with thick cut potatoes and a light cream and mushroom sause. This was my first taste of anything close to Oktoberfest. I can't wait til im able to go to Oktoberfest with my older brother.
