Hey there! I've decided to talk about my native language today! I'm even going to teach you some words in Swedish! Swedish is a north Germanic language. It's a lot like Norwegian, and Danish. And Norwegians and Danes don't have much difficulty understanding Swedish (Danes have a little more difficulty understanding). It's only different in the pronunciation of words. There are also five minority languages in Sweden: Finnish, Meankieli, Sami, Romani, and Yiddish. Swedish didn't actually become Sweden's official language until June 1, of last year. Anyway, here are some phrases and words in Swedish!!
Hej: Hello
Hur ar laget?: What's up?
Van: Friend
Hur mar du?: How are you?
Tack: Thanks
Vad ar ditt namn?: What is your name?
Mitt namn ar...: My name is...
That's all for now! Or, Det var allt for nu!!
