Sports in Austria

Guten Tag!
Since I metioned skiing before, I thought I would talk about sports in general. A lot of different sports are popular here, especially winter sports like skiing, snowboarding, and ice skating. Out of these, skiing is my absolute favorite! The snowy winter in Austria creates perfect conditions for all of these winter sports. In the summer, though, hiking is rather popular. If we decide to go, we'll usually go hiking at the end of the week, in the beautiful Alps. Most Austrians really enjoy sports and attending sports events. I'm actually going to one after school in two days. Since it is nearly winter, I've really been looking forward to the skiing competitions. It is fairly cold in Vienna already.
